City2Surf 2016

Best wishes to all of our patients who are running in this year's City2Surf!

The clinic will be open 9 am til 5 pm. To all of our patients on Sunday 14th August please note there will be changes to traffic conditions due to the race. Please plan ahead and give yourselves plenty of time to make it your appointment.

If you are driving: Roads in the Sydney CBD and Eastern Suburbs will begin closing from 3:30 am and progressively reopen from 10:30 am in the Sydney CBD. All roads will be reopened by 4 pm.

Major road closures include:

  • Sydney CBD: College Street, Macquarie Street and William Street
  • Edgecliff, Double Bay and Rushcutters Bay: New South Head Road
  • Vaucluse: Old South Head Road
  • Dover Heights: Military Road
  • Bondi: Campbell Parade

Heavy traffic is expected while roads are closed, so leave the car at home and catch public transport.

Plan your trip by using the City2Surf 2016 interactive map outlining the road closures, clearways and nearest transport hubs or a summary of information for residents affected by changed traffic conditions along the City2Surf course can be accessed by clicking the relevant link below:

By Public Transport:

Trains: From 10 am to 4 pm, trains will run every 5 minutes on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line between Bondi Junction, Central, Hurstville, Cronulla and Waterfall stations (They will be very full and busy!)

Buses: Bus services in the Sydney CBD and Eastern Suburbs will experience delays and also use diverted routes and temporary stops due to road closures in place for the event, so be patient and allow plenty of extra travel time getting to and from the event.

Bus diversions for some CBD and Eastern Suburbs bus services will be in effect between 3:30 am and 4pm. Some CBD bus services will resume their regular routes as early as 12 pm midday as roads reopen.

Check Sydney Buses City2Surf bus diversions for more information.

Plan your trip before heading out to check if your bus is affected.

If you are experiencing any issues or delays please contact the clinic on 02 9387 2851. Best of luck!
