Family and Children's Dental Care

When it comes to children and the dentist, a calm, stress free experience is essential. Early visits shape how kids feel about dental care and their oral health for years to come.

At what age should my child see a dentist?

The Australasian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry recommends a first dental check-up when the first baby tooth appears and no later than 12 months of age. Baby teeth matter—they guide jaw growth, hold space for adult teeth and influence speech and eating—so early, regular care sets the foundation for a healthy smile.

Where comfort and convenience are key

Children do best in a calm, friendly setting. Our team is experienced with little ones and uses gentle, reassuring communication to reduce anxiety. We offer Netflix, music, and child-friendly flavours to help your child feel at ease from the moment they arrive.

Involving both parents and children

Good habits start at home. We love seeing families together and encourage you to bring children along to your own visits. Becoming familiar with the sights and sounds of the clinic before their first appointment makes future visits smoother and more positive.

Encouraging dental care for life

We look after smiles at every stage—from baby teeth and growing mouths through to adult and ageing oral health, including denture care. Our goal is to build confidence, prevent problems and make the dentist a comfortable part of life.

Easy access for families

You’ll find us on the ground floor of Waverley Street Mall, making access simple for prams and patients with limited mobility. Drop-off and pick-up are convenient near the Level 3 Myer parking exit/entry on 3 Waverley Street, outside Southern Radiology/Bondi X-ray.

We also have established relationships with Montefiore and other local aged-care homes, and can help coordinate appointments for family members when needed.
